On the morning of May 16, the Office of the Earthquake Disaster Relief Headquarters, the Ministry of Emergency Management, and the Yunnan Provincial People's Government jointly held an integrated air-ground rescue exercise for earthquake disasters in high mountain canyon areas in Lijiang, Yunnan and other places, code-named "Emergency Mission·2023".

The Exercise is divided into two stages: command exercise and comprehensive exercise, with 8 links, highlighting the integrated air-ground joint rescue operation.

The exercise has a main exercise venue in Lijiang and two sub-exercise venues in Dali and Zhaotong.
